Etimologia

mwdaVogesite viene da mwdqVosges, nome francese della catena dei mwdgVosgi, dove questa roccia affiora in filoni.

Composizione

L'aspetto più significativo è dato dai mweqfenocristalli di mweganfibolo (solitamente mweworneblenda) più abbondanti di quelli di mwfabiotite. Entrambi i minerali si trovano anche nella pasta di fondo, a grana fine o mwfqafanitica, associati ad abbondante mwfgortoclasio e minore mwfwplagioclasio. Può essere presente anche l'mwgaaugitecite-ref-1[1].

Distribuzione

Le vogesiti sono diffuse come filoni nella regione dei mwhwVosgi (mwiaFrancia).
